    55 tank, stand and canopy

Saltwater tank - yes. Holes are for overflows and returns from sump. Tank, stand and canopy and possible some powerheads and incidentals. I'll put pictures up when it is completely empty. I'm waiting on transfer that will hopefully take place this weekend or next. FawnN you have PM

100 gallon tank, stand and canopy must go!

100 gallon tank has some fairly substantial scratches. I'm sure they can be fixed or repaired. I need the space in my garage so I don't have the time to do it myself. It's got an internal overflow box. Would work great as a holding tank or show tank when fixed. The stand is in great shape...

    55 tank, stand and canopy

Pretty soon all the inhabitants, lr and sand will be gone. The tank, stand and canopy need a new home. The tank is glass with 4 holes drilled at the top - great condition. I may be willing to help with transportation (depending on location), let me know.

55 gallon tank and inhabitants must go

I've got a 55 gal tank with fish, live rock and sand, and some inverts along with stand and canopy (with 4x65w power compacts). Basically, all of it must go. Here's what's there: fish- blue (Hippo,Regal) tang (small to medium sized yet), ocellaris clown, bi-color blenny, yellow watchman goby...

Anyone looking to get rid of a mantis shrimp?

My qt tank has no fishes so I'm thinking about putting a mantis in there. Anyone looking to get rid of one?

Sometimes it depends on time. It may take a few days or longer. Otherwise, it's up to the fish. May not be interested- it's not a guarantee.

    Suggestions on an auto top-off

I'm looking for ideas for an auto top-off. A DIY is possible, but the whole setup would be preferred. Any suggestions? Any places to research? Thanks

    getting glass drilled??

Depends on how you want to run the water. If you're going to use regular overflows, get 4 holes drilled as close to the top as you can- 2 towards the middle and 2 on the ends of the back panel. Pick out your bulkheads first and get them drilled to that size. I don't know what size tubing you...

    Nassarius Snails in So Cali?

Pacific Reef in Fountain Valley (NE corner of Garfield and Brookhurst) has them as well. The Fountain Valley Tong's is located on the SW corner of Magnolia and Warner.

    Power outtage scare

I guess the whole thing has had me wondering what it was doing since it started. I'll get a couple pics by tomorrow.

    Which is the best tang?

Nice to see you around, Six-line. Off on vacation?

    Power outtage scare

Mines a different dilemma. I won't have any problems with overflowing the sump. I've got overflows (2) drilled into the top center of my tank. They're simple guards screwed into bulkheads. This only allows a limited amount of water to come down the tubes if my sump quites. This works great...

    Power outtage scare

Yeah, I'm not worried at all when I'm home- I'll hear the alarm on the UPS. I'm double checking what I have plugged into the battery part right now to weed out the unnecessaries.

    Power outtage scare

It's not an emergency (yet), but with the power going out around me today, I'm a little uneasy. My sump (and pump) is working well, but if the power goes out and then comes back on- my overflows (for the sump) don't immediately catch up with my pump- which leads to an overflow of the tank. In...

    Saltwater Tank Set Up help!

Fenner's book will be very useful as well. I read it after I read the dummies book. I felt that was worth the time. While you're doing research online, start researching lfs for a few reasons. 1) You're not ready to buy and they won't be able to talk you into buying something 2) you can...

Check out this section of this site for location specific questions. http://www.aquariumadvice.com/viewforum.php?f=47 There's an excellent thread covering that specific question. Welcome to Aquarium Advice.

What do I charge to do Aquarium maintenance??

I'm not in the business, but it would sound well worth your time to have a well-thought out list of things you do and things you don't do, along with costs to have them look over before you do anything. Make sure you're the only one doing the work and be as honest with them up front as...

    Saltwater Tank Set Up help!

I second Jackdp's comments. Do lots of research and be patient. Make sure you know what you want before you go to a lfs to buy. Compare prices online and be patient. This site is a great place to do research. Clowns are fairly hardy and are good fish to start with. Lr and ls are good to...

    Should I be worried?

I saw him yesterday when I was feeding. He found a totally hidden place. I figured he would. It was just good to see him. Hopefully, he'll come out once in a while.

    Should I be worried?

I just added a yellow watchman to my tank on Thursday. He took off for the lr immediately, which I expected. I also expected him to hide for a while, but I haven't seen any sign of him yet. Should I move things around to find him?
