Sometimes they do headstands when their wen is going through a growing spat, then it will ease up. Also, high nitrAte levels can also affect goldies who are prone to bouancy problems.

Hi and welcome. Sounds like your tank wasn't cycled when the fish went in, so the main thing now is water changes and testing your water. How big are the water changes you are doing? Do you have your own test kit and how much are you feeding?

Hi, yes I take grundgy noodles out of my drip filter and put them in the fishless cycle filter, seems to work. I have started putting extra noodles in the corner of my filters so new people can have them. Fish keeping is really taking off again in my part of UK. :flowers:
