If you had a 10000 Gallon Tank

I would donate to a foundation where they help re-introduce endangered marine animals back into the wild and they'd use the tank as a nursery/grow-out. Monterey Bay Aquarium might find some use for it. Or I could always just, ya know, have a couple of common goldfish in there...big upgrade...

    Goldfish

That was a typo, my bad  I think both commons and comets need the same requirements though.

    Goldfish

Common Goldfish shouldn't even be in fish tanks unless you have a 100-200 Gallon tank handy for one. They are POOP machines. And very messy. My grandma has some, even though i have tried to stop her from buying them, and they are messy eaters and makes nitrates go up really fast. If you want to...

    36 Gallon Stock Advice

I would cut down to three mollies/platies, whichever you choose. If you get two angels, then don't add anything else after the cories. Angels need a lot of room, and I wouldn't crowd them with other fish in a tank too much.

Which term do you think is correct?

I think it depends on where you come from and how you learned it. It's all the same in the end.

    Fish finally....now when to feed?

Keep feeding to a minimum. I feed 2-3 times a week.

    angelfish?

You can't really tell the sexes of angels when they are young. The only surefire way to is to get some mature ones and sex them from there by a few key features. I would get two young ones, that way they get used to the fish around them.

    What does my betta need?

How about a cycled tank? ;) I would add some rocks or a piece of driftwood, you could always tie some plants to there and they will eventually root themselves on. The end product looks cool. :thumb:

    angelfish?

A single one or two. I wouldn't try more than that, angels get really territorial when they mature and wouldn't want too many in there, since there wouldn't be that much space for all of them.

    what else to put in

Orange laser cories. These are the coolest cats I have ever seen :) http://www.freshwatertropicalfishonline.com/images/corydoras/Orange%20laser%20cory.jpg

    chocolate gouramis and giant danios

I wouldn't really recommend it. My experience with chocolates in a community did not end well. They ended up dying from stress from even really peaceful fish like pristella tetras. I would try a species setup. I've been given some really great advice on how you could keep them in a species-only...

    Snails

How big is the tank? Clowns get around the foot mark so you wanna make sure they have plenty of room. Looks like some sort of common pond snail to me. You can get rid of them by putting in a piece of lettuce under a rock and then taking it out when all the snails are on there.

    The Forty Gallon Breeder Build

See, this is a problem. Right when I get ready for a water change, all the crud goes into and back down the gravel. I checked on it today and its all gone... Thanks! :) I don't plan on adding anymore. I'm thinking about waiting until school is over, when my priorities change since I don't have...

    The Forty Gallon Breeder Build

Actually, I don't think I can. The SAE full-grown might not be able to fit in a 30G. The rest (cories, rasboras, perhaps cards if they survive) will fit.

    Looking to build 55 gal w gourami/discus .. questions

Technically, plecos are not a clean up crew. They simply eat algae, very little of it IMO. If you want a good CUC, I would recommend some shrimp and snails. Fish cleaning algae is sort of a waste, since the problem causing the algae is only worsened by the algae eating fish, since it's not going...

    The Forty Gallon Breeder Build

Actually, I was thinking about that. I'm going to wait it out and see how long it will take before the plants start looking like plants again (right now they look like...bowties?) I'm doing some massive water changes Friday. See if that cleans things up and gets things back on track...

    aquaclear

You creep me out...how did you get the exact same thing as me.. The only thing to be careful of is when you clean it and put it back again. You need to fill it up with water. If you have it run dry, you could fry the impeller and it would be rendered useless, which isn't fun. Also, some...

    Looking to build 55 gal w gourami/discus .. questions

I can understand that. I just want to make sure that they know these aren't the easiest fish to keep :) I've actually never tried the DG and discus setup. If you do go down that route, try to find dwarf gouramis from a local breeder or high-quality LFS. The majority of the ones you find at...

    aquaclear

I saw that deal! I wanted to get some SOOO bad but I can't :( Let me say this-I have two filters, the Marineland that makes a bit of noise and the AquaClear. Whenever I unplug the Marineland, I don't hear anything. That, my friend, is how quiet AquaClears are.

    The Forty Gallon Breeder Build

Probably from the disintegration of the root tabs. The plants do not look in good shape at all. They will need some TLC, which I do not have time for, unfortunately. And it seems I have killed all but four cardinal tetras. And at this point the LFS has run out of the jumbo ones and are out of...

    Looking to build 55 gal w gourami/discus .. questions

They will possibly get aggressive. Depends on personality. I personally would go for more peaceful gouramis like pearls IMO. When keeping discus a) Your water quality must be pristine. 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, <20 nitrates consistently. Any fluctuation can shock and possibly sicken/kill your...
