cool but the pet store's around where i live don't have them. my two just had 9 babies. and i had to set my 10 gallon up as a nursery for them. and it wasn't cycled right and i lost 3. so i went out and bought some bactericia supplement to help establish the tank. their babies are even cuter...
i have 3 Zebra danios in with my community fish and they are not bothering nor are they attacking my other fish. with one bothering the other one is their way of playing and mating because two of mine do that all the time. I was told never to put them in a tank with drawf gourami's.
i've seen them at some pet stores but they have a hard time keeping them alive because they require alot of oxygen and current to be put in the water for them to survive. i have had my two adult ones for two years now. and i have learned that from experience when i had some in my 90 gallon and...
yes i agree most don't take to wafers or veggies and yes a tank size of 30 gallons is right if they are on their own and they are also a great in a community fish tank too.
it depends on the breed of otos you want to buy cause there's so many.the ones i have only grow to be about an 1-1 1/2 inch long. it is the one in the far back of the tube
my two plecos (1 clown and 1 sailfin) are in the same tank and they don't after each. I don't see it being a problem having two in a 90 gallon tank as long as they are content. if you go with a clown pleco you have to make sure it has well treated drift wood in the tank cause that is a clown...
mine never did tear the zucchini up. my sail fin pleco sits right on top of it and eats it off of a stainless steel fork and my clown pleco does the same thing too.
i have 4 now in my 120 gallon and once i put any kind of food in the tank i.e. zucchini, algae wafers, frozen blood worms they come out and park themselves right on top of it. mine are a dark in colour. with them being pale could just be their colouring or it could be that they are stressed a...
that is a good picture of a baby hillstream loach. my two also had babies but mine hatched in my filtration systems and thats where i found them so i set my 10 gallon back up and using it as a nursery for them. i had 9 but lost three due to not having enough O2 and curent in the tank for them...
that is normal for them to just suck the glass mine did it too.until i started feeding them some frozen food and flake. and you have to make sure they have alot of Oxygen and current in the tank for them to survive.
i use to have a 90 gallon and i also put two plecos in it just because of the amount of algae growth i had going on. and if there's not enough algae in the tank feed them zucchini once a week and algae wafers.
I know when i first bought my otos for my 40 gallon i bought only three because i was getting an over load of cory eggs. and when i upgraded and moved all fish from the 40 to my 120 gallon i bought more. i feed mine algae wafers, bits of flake and frozen blood worms.
