Well the nearest place to get blasting sand is about 50 miles away, and there are 2 bags of black sand at one pet co. So I’ve convinced my fiancé that we don’t need black sand.

I’m willing to do a little extra work for my partner.

My fiancé wants black sand.

I have access to a strong magnet, I’m assuming I can just pull those iron bits out that way.

I’m looking for black sand that would be dwarf cichlid and cory cat safe. Any recommendations?

So after a long break from the hobby I was given a free tank by a friend. When I went to buy a stand from my local LFS, I accidentaly bought a used 100 gal, oops. I know I would like to go with dwarf cichlids again; the tank is 60" long by 18" wide I believe. Apistogromma: 2 pairs...

Yes this is another ick thread, after I had to miss my weekly water changes, I final was able to make it home and the first thing I see is my female gold ram has about five or six white dots! I was just wondering if salt is ok with gold rams, neon tetras, and glo light tetras?

I'm not sure if it's all killis but I know that at least some only live about a year. Just research the specific ones you are looking at.
