well, kinda complicated actually lol the 40 has been set up for about 6 months, but the sand the rock and some of the livestock came out of my established 29 gallon.

yeah i have a 950 aqueon powerhead in my 40g, which is OVER KILL and food circulates forever before it either ends up in my filter or get stuck on some rock. but ya 8 hermits still manage to find plenty of food and junk to eat.

the pet store tore the tank apart and went through alll the sand and broke apart all the rock. not the best way to go about it, but it had to be done. probably a last resort type of thing i spose

i guess you could temporarily stick a smaller butterfly in there. and trade it or sell it to whoever. jus to get rid of the aptasia.

thats what i was gonna say, if the acclimation went alright and they werent in total shock, than theyre just gettin used to a new home. i asked where they got them cuz some friends and i got a few from petco, and none of our clowns made it longer then a week. after proper acclimation and all...

how did you acclimate the clowns? and what type of clowns are they/where did you get them?

im not to educated in freshwater, especially freshwater plants. i know t5's are way brighter and put out more lumens per watt, and i would imagine they would do better for plants. but i have never had a problems in my simple fish only freshwater tank with a t8 bulb. i had a couple plants, just...
