Ok sounds like I'll go with the octopus. So far for equipment im thinking 6 bulb t5 lights (still open for suggestions), vortech mp10, reef octopus nwb 110, mag 5 or 7 return, and a good controller (also need suggestions).What size heaters should i have?

What do you think would be better, the bubble magus or reef octopus nwb110? They're both about the same price and have good reviews

Its going to be mixed but with a good amount of sps. I guess if the sps aren't getting good flow i could add a small powerhead in the area i keep them

I'm thinking about getting the chinese ones for now then i could just upgrade if i have any problems. $85 isn't much compared to the close to $500 I'll spend on vortech.

Been reading about these, people seem to like them a lot. But do you guys think its really worth the money rather then a couple powerheads? I'm setting up a 40 breeder reef so I'm wondering if i should get 2 mp10s. Would that eliminate any dead spots in the tank?

Hmm that's a good way to think of it. I probably won't upgrade for a long time but I'm sure it'll happen eventually. Do you have a specific return pump you would suggest for the 110 and the 150?

Those are the ones i was looking at. Just trying to decide if its worth it to go with the 150 or if its just overkill and i should just get a 110

Does anyone have experience with the pre built overflows from glass-holes.com? I was wondering if the 700gph one would be good or if i should just make my own. Im going all out on this tank and would like to get everything right the first time

I used to have a favia that got bumps like that on it but it would always go away eventually. I just thought it was growing in that area. It never caused any problem, had it for about 4 months and it grew great.

I'm not trying to be the guy that asks for advice then doesn't take it but I'm confident about this. I'd gladly take your word for any input or advice on the tank itself when its ready though!
