I will say my skimmer is filling with liquid pretty fast. It's a foam mucus with alot of water is this normal at first until it works itself out but this mean theirs a problem

Thanks for the advice. I went ahead and turned skimmer and everything on. Don't have hob so I had no choice. I'll just wait till everything clears up and looks good and clean everything up.

Ow long do u typically have to wait for salt to disolve to take proper reading. I added water yesterday and made mistake of purchasing live rock already. My reading need to be correct before adding Rock I assume. Any advice on this , much appreciated.

Hey as far as replacing impeller, it's probably like most motors with a fan blade. Which means it may work but will more than Likely overheat do to design being wrong. But it's up to you, but if motor doesn't last as long maybe change to correct frame.

For lighting For that 20 gallon I would use two nano glow lights their about 60 nucks each led lights
