Hello. I'm wondering if you still have some Frogbit for sale? I'd love to buy a bag for $5 + shipping. I live in Michigan.
I never remember to check back here, but if you have some, could you please email me? mshelton@yourmomatron.com
thanks!
I just did a google search for this and this topic already showed up in the results. I read your post, then came back to check this topic without realizing it was the same topic I found in the search. Needless to say, I was really confused.
Thanks for the answer. I like the idea of trying it...
I have a 10 gallon tank that I want to use to breed cherry shrimp. It has a ton of plants in it + offwhite PFS substrate. It also has 3 mystery snails that I don't want to remove (I suppose if I had to I could remove them from the 10 gallon and put them in my 29 gallon tropical community tank)...
She's been getting progressively fatter for the last couple of weeks. She doesn't show any signs of sickness or anything, and the water is good.
The male kinda follows her around a lot because I only have 2 of them in the tank total.
Anyway, if she's pregnant, how do I go about this? I'd...
Yeah the cigarette filter thing works pretty well, but sometimes it just starts making big bubbles for no reason and you have to re-do it. It's worth it though.
I bought one of these for each tank and they work great. $3.99 with free shipping CO2 Nano Glass Diffuser for Plant Aquarium Tank | eBay
I've also done the cigarette filter thing and it works pretty well too. Here is a video I made of that. DIY Aquarium CO2 Diffuser - Cigarette Filter - YouTube...
I just think it's the coolest thing. I have a pretty big variety of plants in my tanks with good lighting and DIY CO2. They grow like crazy.
I love watching the way each type of plant tries to grow around eachother and get a better view of the light. I love seeing the way they branch out and...
That's really cool. My molly looks like she is pregnant and I'm a little worried that the other fish will eat them since I don't have another tank to put her in to have them. The tank she lives in is really heavily planted though, so maybe a few will survive. lol
I keep an chair facing my 29 gallon tank and I have the 10 gallon tank to the right of the chair. I find it really relaxing to sit there and watch the fish interact with eachother and swim through the plants and stuff.
It's so cool that I can have so many different kinds of fish in there and...
Just run the vacuum along the top. You don't need to stick it in the sand to clean it since the crap just sits on top. PFS is pretty coarse so it should be too heavy to get sucked up into the filter.
My favorite that I own is my white Dalmation Molly, it's just super friendly and cool to look at. The Boesemani Rainbow is a close runner up.
I think the coolest fish that I don't own is probably the Bolivian Ram or German Ram or Angel Fish.
I have a lot of algae but I'll take care of that later. It's caused by excess light because I don't have it on a timer yet.
Tank is fully cycled, so I got my betta and 3 mystery snails! They get along great!
Or do people not like it just because it's ugly? I have a ton of it in my empty 10 gallon tank, probably because I keep the light on for 12+ hours a day. It has DIY CO2. A good amount of my leaves are covered with brown algae and I have to scrape the glass off once or twice a week.
So my...
That's exactly it! They were the first to approach me and eat from my hands. When I put my hands in to work on plants and clean the filter intake, they swim through my fingers and peck at my hand so it tickles. I love them :S
