    I was using the carbon as the tank was getting set up just to get rid of anything nasty from decorations etc.. but now I am conflicted over going with more bio or more sponge. I guess adding the extra sponge kind of does both because some BB has to live in there right?

    Thanks for all of the suggestions. I am really digging the threadfin, celebes, and spotted blue eye. Does anyone have any idea if they are hard to find and how much they would cost? I am in the south jersey area.

    Hi gang, I am looking to add a school of 5 to 6 rainbowfish to my cycled 29 g tank. I have found that murray river, thread-fin, and dwarf neon rainbowfish do not get too large and work well in a 29 gallon. Are there any others that stay smallish that would work? Thanks! the other tank mates...

    Ok I am totally intrigued by this active sponge. You said you just shoved it in your filter. How is the sponge packaged? Do they ship it in tank water? Did you add fish when you added the sponge? If so how many? Or did you dose the tank with ammonia? Thanks.
