I had this problem with my skimmer I have a tmc 400 skim and my tank was like a sandstorm so I got a nylon stocking and put it over the return pipe (dident pull it tight left it lose ish) and it trapped the bubbles... Worked for me..
Hope it helps
I Have had my new tank running for a while now so added a few fish over time but lately I have noticed brown residue so to speak or Algie?? growing on the glass rock and sand (see picture of sand) is this fine or do I need to do something?? If so what??
This is the brown residue..
I thought it would look better like that than just filling it with rock plus I have a sand sifting starfish so he needs the space but it's good and the fish seem to enjoy it.
Yeah it's getting there.. The star fish is a hard bugger so to speak he came from a rough aquarium with high ammonia and nitrite and he survived plus I used the RO water from the pervious aquarium so the only new parts is 25kg live rock and sand
Think it needs more coral tho..
I think the fish would be a good option.. I don't want to start over as it's a perfect set up at the moment.. So does any body now what fish I could use to eat them..
