Just thought I'd share a few pics of my tank. Been running about 5 months now. I know i love seeing others tanks. Any comments are welcome.

Hey everyone. Quick question. The surface of the water in my nano tank gets a build up of 'stuff' on it which I occasionally skim off. I can only describe it as looking a little dirty and when skimmed it looks a brown colour. Any ideas?

You could also use a copperband to eat them or a filefish

That's the problem with living in florida. It's easy here. Turn the heating off in the house and it'll be chilled before u know it :)

I just fed my tank a mixture of myssis and coral frenzy (google of u haven't heard of it) I spot fed the sun coral. Pleased to announce it has come out for the first time since I bought two days ago. Has now fed and looks happy.

Thanks for your replies. Mine is slightly shaded down towards the bottom of the tank. You can see it on my pics at the right. U reckon I should move it into more shade?

What do you feed yours with?

Hey guys bought a sun coral yesterday? Heard a few bad luck stories about keeping them. Anyone had any experiences with them and have any tips on how to look after them?

Thanks I will do my best with it. I've had good luck so far with my corals. I love my torch coral and my bubble coral and trumpet are both very healthy and growing well :-)

I've considered them all. I've also considered a bigger tank. Like a kid in a candy shop, I want it all! But the bank manager says otherwise!! Much prefer corals to fish anyway :) my sun coral was only put in this morning, hoping he will do ok

Thanks guys. I have heard that the tang is not suited so I am going to sound out my local shop for a swap. He is only a baby just now so hopefully he will be ok just now. Any suggestions what fish would be a good addition? Current livestock is 2 tank bred perculas Regal tang Blue cheek goby...

It's a regal tang.

I have many of them living in my star polyps coral. I find them quite interesting and do target feed them occasionally. All adds to the charm and mystery or marine life.
