Hi guys, I am concerned about my betta fish as I think he may have fin rot. I think his fins have shrunk since I got him but it's hard to tell. He only eats frozen/fresh blood worm and will not touch flakes or pellets. Is there any signs that I should be looking out for? Thanks!!

Ok excellent. :) I will get rid of all the bits of old food on the gravel when I start the pwc's tomorrow and I'll leave the salt for the minute! I'll let you know how we get on. Thanks again for your help x

Thanks a lot. I will start the pwc's tomorrow and carry on every other day changing 50% for a week or do and see how he goes. I will order a new test kit so it will arrive in time for me to check the levels again in a week. How much salt do I add? Does it have to be special aquarium salt or...

I have had the tank a good few months and it had other fish in before I moved them to a larger tank and added the betta so I know it's defiantly cycled. Checked all the readings yesterday and they looked ok. I have only had him a week so I'm planning on doing a pwc tomorrow and I will retake...

They take over your tank in a matter of weeks unfortunately!!! I had to rinse my entire tank to get rid of them!! I am also interested in an assassin snail, sounds like it could be a great idea to keep the numbers down :)
