I have Black, Pink AND Yellow Convicts (1-4in) in with two 10+ Oscars, an 8in JD, a 10 inch Nic and two 6in Geos....they've all been in there together for 1.5years and I've never had a problem....the Convicts and Oscars breed even...although it is a LARGE tank, so that probably helps also....

Keep trying Craigslist. I got both of my 125s off there, each one for under $125! And not in bad condition either....took me awhile to find though....

They make clips to stick on the glass of the tank so it doesn't just float around in the water....

Try Romaine Lettuce....

They also lose their spots when they get bigger...not sure if that's why she likes em so much?

I don't think there is a definate way to tell on OSCARS. I have 4 of them, the only way I knew is watching the females actually laying the eggs...

Correct, Geophagus Altifrons. I've never even seen one in my area before. The guy said he had them shipped from Ft. Myers, FL...and since he didn't want them we jumped on the opportunity :)
