hmm He seemed to love his shrimp and has been eating it for about a year. He appears normal. I guess he is just stressed because of those damselfish. They will be gone shortly. So squid might work huh? I'll try that. Thank you.

No he is the biggest thing in the tank. It looks like he did it on his own accord. The water quality is fine. It's a fifty gallon tank. He is about a week old from the LFS.

Hay all, When I came into work today I found my nubby sea star with it's arms all over the place. It originally had four and now they are all separated and seem to still be alive. Does anyone have an idea why this happened? Do you think that all the arms will regenerate? Thanks, Lia :roll:

Does anyone know if sea urchins shed their spines? We have a red pencil urchin whose spines are turning green and falling off. Is my urchin dying or shedding? I don't think they shed. Does anyone know for sure? It gets plenty of food (algae). Any info will do. Thank you! :?:

I got the star but didn't find anymore information about it. I hope it wont eat my sea urchins but they are rock boring urchins which are plentiful here in Hawaii. The star is an asteropsis carinifera. Thank you for any information.
