    stocking 75 gallon tank!

I Swim, are you doing a planted tank? If so what types of plants are you doing? I have a 75 that I'm building and I like you fish selection, but I am doing plants for sure. Do the GBR and the cockatoo cichlids dig or eat plants?

    New 75 project advice wanted...

I'm sorry I wasn't thorough with my description of how I wanted to cycle the tank. It was late:) I want to cycle it using the addition of household ammonia as described in the link bellow. http://www.aquahobby.com/articles/e_fishless.php

    New 75 project advice wanted...

Ok... Bought a Cascade 1500, Milwaukee CO2 regulator with solenoid and bubble counter, a substrate heater, 75 lbs of gravel, 30 +/- lbs of fluorite, and some root wood. Still have questions about an in line heater but think that I will get the Hydor 300w as I have seen some really good reviews...

Does anyone know the hose size for a cascade 1200? I have been looking online and can't believe that I can't find it! Need to know so I can look for in line co2 diffuser and heater.

Great info! Thank you! Now, what are your opinions on in line heaters? Once again I'm trying to keep as much stuff out of the display. I'll post some pics once I start putting it all together. For now I'm just collecting equipment. Substrate... Opinions?

Yeah, unfortunately I was a little trigger happy when buying the light. No biggie, I'll replace the bulbs and move on. I am leaning more towards a pressurized CO2 system with moderate light. How much pruning will a set up like this require? Plant types being different I understand, just a...

Hi everybody. New to the site and to planted tanks....so here goes. I have had tanks in the past but it's been awhile since my last adventure. I recently purchased a 75 gal and decided that I wanted to do a Asian planted community tank. Now I have been doing some research, still super...

    Hello from Reno

Hi all! Been lurking a bit but finally decided that it was time to get aquatinted. As the subject says I live in Reno Nevada. I have had aquariums in the past, but kept them very simple and honestly probably was able to make them work by shear luck. I have never had a planted aquarium and...

    75 Gallon Planted build w/sump

dskidmore, thanks for getting back. I still am in the research phase of this project. That being said, I am thinking that I want a moderately planted tank, whatever that means... something like picture below? I like the idea of a sump to keep the display tank clutter free. I was looking into...

    75 Gallon Planted build w/sump

Hi everyone! I am new to the site and was doing some lurking as I was curious about turnover rates for a 75 gal planted that I am setting up. I have had tanks in the past, but never planted and not this big. My plan is to have a wet/dry sump to keep all the stuff out of the display tank...
