    240 gallon build

No that's how I did my 125. This time I think I'm gonna try some Plexiglas shelves reinforced with triangles and silicon them to the back wall. Then drill small holes through the shelves and the rock and use zip ties to secure rocks to them. It will hopefully look like a floating shelf all the...

    240 gallon build

Well I had my male blue jaw trigger in the 125 with the shark for about 2 months or so...but out of nowhere he all of a sudden died on me about 2 or 3 weeks ago. So that was a bummer...and I think I may have given up the idea of any triggers at all. Although I am still interested in the...

    240 gallon build

Nothing new yet. But how often should I be feeding my shark? Right now its twice a week with silversides and raw shrimp and I'm picking up some mussels on the half shell today at the store to see how that goes. Is that enough or should i feed more frequently??

How did u build the plexi shelves though? Were they siliconed to the back walls? Still confused by how all that weight can be supported like that...

    my new 150 g

I am upgrading to a 240 gallon 8ft tank that will be housing a whitespotted bamboo shark. I wanted to do something similar with my rocks as well to provide as much sandbed as I can and as many low lighted areas for him to hang out in during the day. Please tell me more about how you accomplished...

    my new 150 g

Great job on the rockscaping! Love the empty sand bed and huge overhang! How did u do it? And I know there's a lot of sand dwelling things suck as plate corals, mollusks, clams, and other gobies such as the sand shifting goby. Cucumbers would be very neat but I am not all that familiar with...

    240 gallon build

I don't know if green chromis would work or not. I feel like maybe they would seem appealing to the shark and end up being a tasty treat. As far as the lagoon goes...its just an idea I have for when the shark starts approaching over 2 ft. Until then the lagoon is just an idea. Want to focus on...

    125 gallon stocking

Its really all just one big experiment. With careful planning it is possible to mix in larger tanks and still have success, but, it is generally said to stock one or the other to save yourself the frustration of having WW3 in your tank.

    125 gallon stocking

I have a 150G African Cichlid tank that has been up for 2 years now. When I started the tank I mixed Africans and south americans. Had 2 jacks and 2 green terrors. Jacks were gone before the first 6 months was up because I realized I had a few of my Africans missing. Green terrors weren't as...

    240G Shark Tank Build Introductory

He's barely over a foot right now. I understand that the 240 wont be big enough forever but how fast do they grow honestly? I figured I had about 2 or 3 years until I would have to get my hands on a 10 footer. Or do they grow much faster than that?
