I know mine are still not fully grown. Seems to take a while. I don't know how old my 4 largest ones are. I know some are just smaller that others. Just seems like on conditions and how many times and how much you feed them.

I got together and they are snuggle and "sleep" in a little cave together just fine. School follow and dance together all the time. Even go solo out and search around. I would like one more of roughly the same size. But it's hard to find them that large. Let alone find them at all.

It's a 55 but not everyone is full grown I go 2 discus that look pretty much full grow. 2 more right behind them. One medium 1 slightly smaller and 2 about 3 inches. Loaches are 2.5-3.5. Pleco is a hair under 6 inches which I think I'm going to get rid of him for a either two other ones that...

Loaches grow extremely slow and only get to about 8-10inches in captivity. I have 4 in a 55 about 2 years old and they are only 2.5 - 3.5 inches.

i cant see something messing with a 7 inch clown loach...

I got 8 discus, 4 clown loaches, 11 neon tetra and a common pleco all together. And i dont have any issues really. the pleco can kinda attack the discus. but as long as they have room to flee they dont have a issue. Just get them all when they are young and i dont see them being a problem.

I never really see anything above 10 maybe a little above. Seems to me like your removing the waste before it has a chance to break down and I through the cycle. And you might have low beneficial bacteria.

I have a canister with a overstocked 55gal. And I just change out the filter floss every 4 weeks or so. But when I do I rinse and squeeze out the two course foam pads with old tank water a bunch of times. That once a week maintance seems way too much, I pretty sure the point of the filter...
