I have a 75 gallon African cichlid tank with 2 sets of 50/50 10,000k daylight and actinic blue. Would that be suitable lighting for anubias and Java fern?

You can never have too much filtration. The more you have the better.

I've had 2 common plecos in my Malawi tank for over a year as well and they're doing just fine. My dominant male will sometimes chase it away if it gets close to his "territory" but its nothing bad. I think you should give it a try. :)

Alright sounds good fisheggs I don't need anything too complicated right now lol. But convict ill have to check carefully at Petsmart and see if I can find any of those plants. Thanks for the advice everyone. And if anyone else has their input I'd be glad to hear from you.

Thanks convict ill probly end up getting the seachem. But I have a hard time finding anubias and Java fern here in Texas cuz Petsmart doesn't carry those. I don't have any lfs close to me so I don't like taking the drive only to come up empty handed lol

What about the Seachem Flourish? Its for a planted tank, could I just use that or would I need something else to help it grow?

How many hours of light do the plants need? And I've heard of ppl using co2 canisters would I need that?

I'm just wondering can live plants grow with just gravel or do I need other substrate? Also I've never had any plants in my tank what all would I need to keep them alive and make them grow?

I've been told there's never too much filtration so I'd say go for it if you wanna put another one in :)
