I'm thinking of doing a 90-110 gallon tank with about 15 Tropheus (moliro, chilanga? Undecided as of yet) with possibly 10 yellow top afras and some yellow labs. I've never dealt with afras but have heard they're not very aggressive. Am I looking at a lot of comparability issues here?

How do I tell the difference between Synodontis petricola and Synodontis lucipinnis? I purchased 2 small specimens at $28 each. They were labeled as petricola but after some research I have my doubts.

What is this? It was sold as an OB zebra but the head doesn't look right. It doesn't look like an L. fuelleborni either. Any guesses?

I'm going to have to transport some fish soon. It's pretty cold here. Should I put them bagged in a cooler to retain heat? Would putting a hot hands pack in said cooler work or too risky?

I want to swap out my natural colored gravel for black sand for aesthetic reasons. 1. What's an inexpensive black sand I can use? 2. How can I avoid crashing my tank? Should I keep a stocking full of existing gravel in the tank while the sand becomes established? Thanks

I have 2 neolamprologus speciosus. I want more but am unable to find them. My LFS said they are hard to get ahold of and he was surprised he got the 2 I have. Could I add other neolamprologus species to the tank, or other shell dwellers or would I be looking at inter-breeding and aggression issues.
