what kinds of algae eaters work best for green hair algae?

b/c i have a small regal in my tank in right now, and I was thinking of adding a small yellow for a half year or so to eat my green hair algae...i would then trade in the yellow.

How would a small yellow tang and a small regal tang in a 48" long tank work together for a period of 6 months or so?

My tank is five months old and I am starting to develop some green hair algae type mounds on my LR. Also, I have some green algae spots on my back panel. Is this good? How do I remove it from my rock if this is not good? Thanks for your help.

do i need mh for keeping a bta? I'm pretty sure the tank is a 50g. i know it's 4' long but i may be off with the other measurements.

I am about 4 weeks away from spending some money on lights ($300.00 - $500.00 limit) I have a 50 g tank which is 48" x 16", about 24" high. Basically the one thing I would love to be able to keep is a bubble tip anemone. I think I would like to have some type of hallide, vho combo unit...

this is a really stupid question. but are there some christmas lights ( ie. blue ones) which could work as DIY moon lights?

on the back right hand side of my tank i have hard white specs or mounts forming on my glass. what could this be. with my fingernail i can scrape them off but i have no idea what they are. they are concentrated in a very specific area of my tank?

yes i have the same things i think?? they look like very thin spagghett with purpleish, blueish feathers coming out. they retract when you get near them. what are they? should I take them off my live rock?
