Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could identify our corals, we are newbies and I think we have gone in to deep to fast. We have had the tank about 3 months, and have had drama after drama. I am very very worried about the corals, as they all seem to be life less and not opening up all the way...

Hello Mark, I am sorry I should of made myself a little clearer, it has only been a few days since we did a water change, the tank is about 3 months old. Thankyou for the advice on how deep to have it, I feel a little more relaxed about it now. I guess its a matter of waiting and playing with...

The water is only two days old, when you say keep it close to the water line. do you mean the water fall type part? it is only just under the water level. We had alot of trouble getting it to fit the tank.

Hello Mark, Yes it producing bubble, yes there is water coming back into the tank, yes the airline is hooked up right and we have changed the water flow valve throttled heaps of times. But it still does not seem to work :cry:

Thank you for your input, i will look into the phytoplankton, and on the issue of the gallon size of the tank, gallon isnt a common term used here, we use litres and i took a guess at converting the two, guess i got it wrong, oh well its bigger than i thought, i wont argue with that!

I am a little confused, the box the marine glow came in says its rated higher than 18.000k and yes its a Hagen, the other two I don’t know, they came in the fitting, it was called a double aluminum reflector, it had two tubes in it, and sound like the ones that fish freak described above, we...

Hi, we are just setting up a new tank, at the moment, we have 3 lights.. One has a white look. one yellow and one is a marine glow, I do not understand what the different lights do, and is there a order I need to have them in over the tank, for the best look?
