    30 gallon tall garden

You don't need to spend a lot at all, this is a low light tank so I don't have any expensive equipment on this tank. The plants are all super hardy (with exception to the arcuata) and don't really need much care or trimming. I made this tank specifically so I would not have to be trimming and...

    30 gallon tall garden

Thanks all, I will try and post more photos from my camera soon, those shots were from my cell. This tank is fairly low light, I'm using 4 T5's not the HO ones, so I think I'm at around 2.8 watts/gallon. No co2, but I use excel and dose just K and Fe every other day. For fish (which you prob...

    Plant Diatoms Wont Leave!!

Nerites are good algae eaters, but in cases of bad algae, I focus on regular small weekly water changes, dosing ferts, and that's always restored balance for me after a solid month. Algae is always present, it only starts to thrive when your plants cannot extract nutrients from the water which...

    C02 unit

Ok so then you may like the Fluval system. How many watts is your juwel light? It's important because not enough watts will make it hard for plants to photo synthesize leaving to much excess co2 in your water which could end up being poisonous for plants and fish.

    C02 unit

How big is your tank and what lighting system and watts per gallon are you planning on? Fluval makes a great small size co2 system for like 70 dollars, what's that like 35 quid :-) but size of co2 unit all depends on size of aquarium x how much you want to deal with refilling. I have a 5lbs co2...

You may not get as good of growth from those lights, I've read organic LED or OLEDS are the plant spectrum LEDs. But curious how it goes nonetheless, good luck! :-)

    Lighting help

Also if each bulb is 20 watts then you have 40 watts in a 10 gallon, that's a lot of light. When you get the correct color temperature (6500k) then you may need to consider adding CO2 to your tank to help your tank be in balance with the amount of light you're providing..... Or just use one...

    De-Snailing

Another way to de-snail is by adding assassin snails. It's a snail that preys on other snails, totally safe for plants and fish and you can usually get them at any decent aquarium store or even online.
