    Moving Your tank tips?

Corals can go without light for some time... In the oceans there are storms, clouds and even night time when there is no light ... I've shut my lights off for 2 days straight to help get rid of some algae and they're all fine :)

    Shrimp help!

The smaller the tank the less likely you should house fish which occupy the water column, maybe something that spends most of its time on the sand or on live rocks is a better bet +1 for the pistol shrimp/goby combo :) loads of fun to watch!

Coolest thing I've seen so far!!

Yeah it works great as well as their oyster feast.. A bit pricey though, I use a new formula "Coral Vibrance" cost around 13$ and works wonders. Bought from urbanreefkeeper.com , comes in concentrated powder form so it will literally last you over 2 years if you have a 55 gal or less.

I had the same prob with mine for a month , had been testing water quality always fine but did have a bloom of algae in back of tank... Superglue in saltwater tank??

If you have shrooms best bet is a plastic water bottle cut in half filled with live rock rubble an just leave them in there for a week in the tank and they'll grab onto something lol

    Superglue in saltwater tank??

Super glue works great with leathers, zoas, and ricordea ,in my experience, For healing and attaching to live rock. Mushrooms not so much cause they secrete themselves right off of it. Just be careful with small zoas as too much glu can spread and catch on to the sides making it unable to fully...

    Moving Your tank tips?

Forgot lol Aeration was not needed at the time due to it only being a sort time and I had no fish only inverts, although if fish are involved and a longer duration is needed for travel then I would reccomend the live bait buckets they sell at Walmart believe they are also 5 gal, comes with top...

    Moving Your tank tips?

Ive moved the tank before (28 gal nano). I had five 5gal buckets from home depot with the leak proof lids. First step was to disconnect everything but I left the filter basket in its place and the lid on top. Removed enough water intill it was right above my tallest piece of live rock. The...

    Mandarin pair ?

Was surprised by getting two mandarin dragonets yesterday for early valentines day gift!! :) Only problem is I believe they gave her two males... Hi everyone ! I live in Miami and I'm new to nano-reefs and salt water aquariums. I've had freshwater tanks before but their nothing like the experience of creating a marine ecosystem =D. I've always worked with mammals from working at a vet , to alligator wrestling, to currently being a zoo...
