My ammonia is .25-.50 ...hard to tell in this lighting. Nitrites is 0. No idea why my ammonia is up ....I think the impeller on one of my canisters is not functioning properly ....grinding noises coming from it. Would that cause it ?

My BGK has been hiding in a log, which he does at times, but 3 times today I thought he was dead cause he was just lying there not moving. Id walk up and then he would start moving again. Is that normal for BGK's to just lay there not moving to take a rest ?

Ya the media in my canister filters still had all the water in them. I didn't clean them when I transferred them over. I did refill tank and put lots of Prime in it .....would that still screw it up ?

Went out and got two 35 gallon plastic tubs. Hope to do the switchover Sunday night into the tubs and Monday into the new tank. I need more white sand....it's $30 for a $20 lbs bag at Petsmart. I know some have used pool sand before ...any other ideas or is that it ?
