Funniest things done by your fishy friends?

Haha, a little while ago I got 4 black neon tetras to hang out with my 10 normal ones, as well as a siamese algea eater. One of the black neons was much much larger than the others, so he and the sae decided to school with my penguin tetras, because they all had one large black line. Similar...

    Brush Algae

I am having alot of problems with brush or beard algae in my 55 gallon planted tank. I am thinking about adding a siamese algea eater, but I am not sure if it would be ok with my oto cats, cories, adf's and ghost shrimp. I need some advice on how to get it.

    Mollies and heaters

Bettas do like heaters, I know that, but they can survive pretty well without one if your house is warm enough.

Funniest things done by your fishy friends?

One time I woke up to my african dwarf frog attempting to eat a ghost shrimp whole, I don't think it worked out that well, next time I saw the frog later that day it was perfectly fine, and it was not really fat, so I guess the shrimp got away! Also, I have one fancy guppy that always rips off...

    Mollies and heaters

Mollies should have a heater if you want them to live a long and happy life, which I hope most fish keepers do, but if your friend does not want to buy a heater, I would reccomend to get a betta instead.

Plants for 10 gal. low/mid light

Water sprite!!! It grows in any amount of light and gets really big and bushy, and it is relatively cheap, if you go to the right place.

    Dwarf gourami breeding tips?

Hi!! About two weeks ago, I bought 2 dwarf gouramis, a male and female, to be the highlight fish in my 55 gallon. A few days after I got them, the male started to build a bubble nest. I would have been perfectly fine with it, but since there was too much surface movement in my tank, he decided...

    Shrimp???

I have ghost shrimp living with guppies, penguin tetras, cory cats, otocinclus cats, dwarf gouramis, and some other live bearers. The only thing in my tank that has ever bothered them is one of my african dwarf frogs. She tried to swallow one whole... Lol.

    What's your favorite Tropical fish?

Haha, I have two bandit cories in my 55 gallon, they are the best of friends and always right beside eachother, but the smaller one usually follows the other around. They are so funny to watch!

    Guppy Breeding Program

I've been breeding guppies for a few years now. At first I let them breed freely, but after about a year I decided to try and get a pure strain of blue guppies. After giving away all my other ones, I was left with 6 or 7 guppies, all from the same father. Its been about three months since then...

    Feeder fish tank???

I would reccomend feeder guppies, or endlers. The fry grow pretty fast though, and the guppies will give birth about every two weeks, with about twenty fry per batch.

Will my guppies/ mollies/ platies breed?

Cardinal tetras, mollies, and platies can get pretty big, so even if your tank is only slightly overcrowded now, it will be way overstocked in a month or two, even with only a few babies. Guppies stay pretty small in my experience, only about two and a half centimetres in my tank.
