He's pretty small right now. I think I'll let him grow a bit and then trade him in. Should be able to get some great credit for him at that point. Only paid $25.

Ok guys of course I listened to the guy at the LFS and might have gotten taken. I picked up a Clown Tang today and what I'm reading on the internet doesn't look very promising. Anybody have any advice or good news about these fish??? TIA

Ok.... so I tested phos..... it's between .2 and .5 ..... everything else is still fine... I bought some Phos X ..... guess it soaks up the phosphate... but mine doesn't seem that high does it ???????

Nitrates are good.... close to 5 ppm...... I don't have a kit for the phos.... will get one today.... any good recommendations for reducing the phosphates ?????

Hmmm..... yeah it's strange.... mine usually shrivles up for a while after a water change... but this time it's turning white and shriveling up quickly..... and what looks like for good...... some of it is doing just fine though.......

Some of you might remember me... I've been gone for a while..... The tank hasn't changed much and I'm going to update my profile as soon as I write this.... Some of my xenia which has been doing very well since it went in the tank a few months ago, is starting to die.... it's turning white and...

You can also add a fuge to the system with macro algae.... they will absorb some of the nitrates......

Good luck they're tough little suckers..... I tried catching some fish a while back after about an hour or two of lights out.... it made it ALOT easier.... even though they would swim away their reactions were alot slower.....

They'll eat bubble and all others sorts of algae... no need to supplement after it's gone....

13 for 15..... educated guesses here.....

Don't know if you're using any but, slime additives for fish will cause this as well....

How do you build a denitrater ??????

The diatoms will burn out on there own..... it is cause by several things.... check your nitrates and phosphates.... that's usually the cause.... just give them time and maybe lessen your feedings... it will burn out......
