this idea came to me last night... what would be potential haards of spliceing an old extention cord and adding on a dimmer switch.... this would then decrease my pump its too big for my tank, and turn down some of the bubbles.... both are too much for my tank and it is pushing all my lil ones...

i have a 10 gal tank with one guppy, 2 glowlite tetras and 2 neon tetras guppy swims all aound but my tetras stay close to the bottem, when i feed them the guppy eats, but the tetras dont even look at the food, should i buy sinking pellets for them, or do they just like to wait and eat the food...

my girlfriends betta is in really bad condition... we figure that he got his gill (left one) stuck on a silk plant... he wont dive down more than 1" and eveytime he takes a breath his left gill sticks out like he is flareing, and when he does try to flare for real he swims really fast in a tight...

just wondering, i know you can do a fish free cycle with 100% pure ammonia, but is there anyway to use fish food in large amounts to start a cycle? (in an empt tank of course)

i just got a new 10gallon tank at my LFS for $12.50+tax it was a used tank and i took my chances and it payed off the new 10 gallon tanks were $24.99, sio if your looking for a new tank try asking if your LFS has any used tanks, but becareful you may not get one that holds water :(
