As I said I believe it is the internal temperature sensor that inhibits the `heat cycle` if too warm and it appears that unless youhave a really good water flow through the heater ( or the tank demands are really low) it will only `heatup` for approx 30% of the time that it should be heating...- ukcalibrauk
