Over the last little while, I have found that my superskimmer stops making bubbles. Usually if I unplug it and then plug it back in again, all is well. Today, no amount of plugging or unplugging will fix it. Has anyone experienced this with a Coralife Superskimmer. I don't like it absent. Jeff

The coral life is OK, but can flood on occasion. It's also an ugly thing. A skimmer I realise is not a place to go cheap. Jeff

Hi, I have the one rated up to a 65 gallon aquarium, which will be a bit small for my 55, but I do have supplemental filtration. I'll give the flex a cut and see how that works out. How bad are bubbles just entering tank? Jeff

Whatever you do, don't use a solution with Aloe in it. Your skimmer will go berserk. Will not chloramines, like ammonia, diffuse naturally. Jeff

If the skimmer is still in the box, I'd take it back and get one from another manufacturer. No matter how hard I tried mine just wouldn't skim. For $20 I got a Super Skimmer which while not the prettiest of things and does have a tendency to splash bubbles, is twice the Skimmer. Jeff

The Emperor's are noisy bastards. No doubt about that. They do seem like a heluva a lot of filter for the buck though. I also like all the extra space in the back for sticking stuff like extra media and so on. Jeff

Depends on the creek I imagine. Sounds like an infection/parasites that the minnows can deal with in the wild but not at home. Jeff

I wouldn't feed them too much, but if I remember correctly, they like to chew and flakes won't do. Jeff
