I'm having a heck of a time... I want to upgrade to metal halide. I have a 72 gallon BOWFRONT only 12 inches of space not 15 available for possible lighting I like the orbit extreme and the coralife pro but they are fifteen inches wide. Can anyone recommend a 48 x 12 light, if it has legs...

taking the plunge to metal halide a few questions 72 gal bowfront would like 2 x 250 + pc which bulbs are easier to find hqi or mogul base moguls r cheaper are they as effective would like to keep some sps (acroporas) will that be enough light good systems recommendations decent priced...

i currently have 4 x 65 watt coralife light up and looking for new bulbs on ebay my bulbs are 21 inch does anyone know if the 22 inch are interchangeable... there is a 4 pack mix and match for 39.95 plus shipping that i'm looking over. or if that is a no go there are some 21 inch odyssea bulbs...

if you have an overflow you might want to check in there, the fish saver helps some but every once in a while my sixline likes to get too close and goes in there it a pita to get him back out again.

i use the csr90 overflow to a wet/dry and pump it back with a viaaqua 2600 or 3500 can't remember, 3/4 inch tubing to return two outputs thanks to the scwd works pretty well

liquid life marine plankton sure it's about 25 bucks a bottle at a good lfs but 2 pumps a week will feed the 10-15 corals i have in my tank plus some of my fish really go for them also...

sounds complicated, actually my tank is about 10 steps from the kitchen sink 20 if you're doing the two handed 5 gallon bucket waddle :D but on the flip side, i have to vacuum the detritus that my crabs and snails didn't get off my rock and corals anyway, plus i feel it's kind of therapeutic...

some leathers are pretty hardy also check out the fingers they add a nice soft vertical look

You know ur a reef geek when... you've finally convinced yourself that the $30 you should spend on gas would be better spent on bus fare to the lfs and 25 snails or bluelegs... any takers on this one???

i've got 2 percs one slightly bigger, the bigger one will sometimes go into ramming mode or almost ramming mode and dodge aways then the smaller one will sort of tip to it's side and do a bit of twitching... if i didn't know better i'd say he looks like he's just received a little shock or else...
