    Rummynose Tetras are not active.

    I have some celebres rainbows. They've been hardy and active and not a finicky eater. Only issue I've had is they're a bit more delicate if you're running pressurized CO2. Could be an option.

    ^^ a good cheap substrate. One downside is how dusty it is. Tractor Supply also carries black diamond, a sand like substrate $8, 50 lb bag. I use it as a cap on dirt.

    That looks about right and should be more than enough light. My DHG grows well in dirt, submersed.
