I washed mine a lot but it still made my water really cloudy, however it clear up in a couple hours with filters running

I have that sand in my tank and really like it Fish enjoy digging in it as well

I personally like the first one more but I was getting tired of it so I wanted to make it a lot different. Next time I'll probably make it like the first one again with more rocks and make it like a biotope

I got one from Walmart for 5 bucks and it looks the exact same as a zoomed one they sell at petco for 15 bucks. It works great

Been about 2 months since I set out my 29 gallon as a planted aquarium, added a few more fish and plants and upgraded the light to a dual t5 fixture also added a Hagen fermentation co2 diffuser.

There is an aquaponics store right by my house and he has a 125 gallon with big south American cichlids and big catfish, and for his filter he has a like a 4' by 4' table with water being pumped in and ceramic balls that are used un hydroponics with tons of heads of lettuce, and other vegetables...

I emptied the tank completely and just the fish in my empty 30 gallon while I took out the gravel and put in the sand

It dosnt have bulbs but I was thinking about getting one 5500k but and one 6700k bulb, does that sound good or should I keep them the same? each 24watts

And as far as ferts and liquid co2 definetly going to try and get some next week

Thanks for the advice and I've only had the plants in for a week now so havnt had much growth at all yet. Thinking about getting Zoo Med AquaSun T-5 HO Double Light Linear Fluorescent Hood It holds 2 24 watt t5 bulbs would that be a good addition to my tank? I want my plants to grow really big

I have the same light fixture and I use 50/50 bulbs, they are pretty bright, they make the fish colors pop, and gives the tank a cool blue tint
