Hi all been a while since I have been on here had to take my tank down and it is in storage but going to be moving over to the Island soon and want to know if there are any good salt water stores. I used to deal with J & L over here. Going to moving to Nanaimo but will to drive for a good store.

That is how I have mine pointing at each other on oppsiste ends of the tank I have read that it gives a chaotic flow which is better for coral than a laminar flow. Just what I have read in one book sure there many differnt theroies out there.

I wish thet were green. The biggest one was black hairy with red eyes have caught 4 now last one looked like it was turning black so maybe was a baby.

I think feather dusters usally are buried in the sand or rocks don't think that is what these are may a type of star fish just a guess.

Not an expert for sure but it dose look like coralline algae to me as well.

That is what I was thinking to he has to go. Very cool tho have just found many other new life coming out of the rocks now as well some good some bad some not sure. Having fun figuring it out :)

Hitched a ride on the live rock. :) Some crabs are not friendly in a reef tank which is what mine will be down the road.

Spotted this guy tonight under some base rock not sure if it is good or bad? Also spotted another that is black but only have seen him couple times and he disappears again. Should I wait and see or get them out if I can catch them??:confused:

Since this is my first salt water tank not sure what this is always had green alage in my fresh water tank. Tank is 4 weeks cycled just have a CUC in tank so far. The rocks were white a few days ago now turning brown is it alage? Should I add more CUC? Or is it nothing to worry about?

So been cycling my tank for 2 weeks put in a raw shrimp. On the 23rd NH4 was 2.4, NO3 10, NO2 0.8. Then I had to go out of town for a week got home today NH4 is 0, NH4 5, NO2 0. That seems like a quick cycle to me think I should put another shrimp in or is it cycled???

Yeah easier said than done getting the rock off the sand more may add more rock to build it up higher. Thanks carey I did leave enough room just enough but it goes by
