    LTA advice

Always hard to tell with anemones whether they are doing well or poorly. They are often unprdictable especially when new to a tank. When MY LTA was new to the tank he moved around a lot and also closed up for days at a time; i thought that he would die for sure. But now he is almost two years...

I was surfing the web and ran across an article about how anemones are not suited for an aquarium. As owner of a two-year-old long tentacle anemone I am concerned, I was wondering if any one has had a LTA for over five years. My last one lasted about two years and finally died. Does any one have...

What made you want a REEF aquarium?

    do i have enough filtration?

What do you reef people think of the skilter. I don't want to spend much money on a protein skimmer but i was told that i would need one to maintain a healthly tank. I don't need anything too powerful and it has both a filter and a protein skimmer. Is it just not worth even montioning?

My nidibranchs did not do much for hair algea.I say to go with Turbo snails and a yellow tang but usually hair algea is a temporary problem and when you tank's chemistry is balanced the hair agea will disappear with time.

Yes I do live very near Scripps. I have been using the Scripps water for many years with excellent results but to keep algae under control I must change water very regularly.

    who wants live rock?

it's better to go to the LFS so you can pick what type and shape you want although it my be more expensive. Reef tanks should be an art form not just how many colorful corals or fish one has.
