    Overflow box

I have the CPR overflows deluxe model with aqualifter pump in my fowlr tank and it worked well for the first 10 months. Now, over the cource of a couple of days it looses is syphoning ability. I have to constantly restart it. Any ideas as to what may be wrong?

    I want Coralline algea

Correct Dosage for Purpleup I have been using purple up for a few weeks now. The bottle indicates to use daily, but the folks at my lps tell me to dose only once a week. I have a 90g FOWLR with 100lbs of live rock. What would be the correct dose?

    I want Coralline algea

Carey, I am using liquid calcium from Kent. What is the difference between that and purple up? Is purple up more effective?

    Aquarium Cleanup Crew

Carey, what type of ro/di unit do you have? We get our tap water from Lake Michigan and I am told that this is high quality water and could get away without having an ro/di unit. I don't know of anybody in our area that even has an ro/di unit hooked up to their water inlet. But I have a lot...

    Algae in live sand?

Algea in the live sand I used to have somewhat the same problem until I bought a Black lined Sleeper Goby. That guy is a work horse and keeps my live sand clean! He has tripled in size since I got him 5 months ago.

    Annularis, Emperor, or Queen ?

Adding Angles I only have a 90g. I know, small for the angels. My tank has been up and running for about 6 months now. I have great bio filtration a good skimmer and excellent water quality. I understand that both angles are prone to fungal infections. But all fish have been healthy. I...

    DSB or no DSB?

I keep live rock rubble in the bottom of my wet/dry. I have a filter pad at the top of the filter and a sponge filter that separates the sump. Keep my heater and skimmer in the sump on the other end of my sump. Works great.

Refugium Keep me posted on how your refugium works in your wet/dry. It is a pretty big sump and the water comes down from the top pretty good. Even though I have a 40g quarantine tank, I was thinking of hanging a smaller refugium on the back. One more thing to Georgia: I have a Eheim Pro...

Spoonman, is the image upside down!? You should see how tricky it is for the fish to do the back stroke! ;) I had a heck of a time uploading this pic! I think from now on I am just going to upload these images to my website and put the link in my messages.

Now that's a good idea. I will probably move my bio balls to my quarantine tank.

I have to upload my pics of my equipment, but here is a link to my FOWLR webpage (still under construction). It contains model numbers of all the equipment I am running. Hope this helps while I upload images of my filter. Our 90g FOWLR Saltwater Tank

What are the best filter systems and why?

I went the wet-dry route. I have live rock gravel below the mechanical filter pads. Have a large skimmer in the sump and about 150lbs of live rock in the tank. Working great and all readings are good.
