Ok sorry.. what I mean by bottom out.. Sometimes if there is an issue with the tank the ph will drop, drastically! In that case its important to be able to measure where its at. Otherwise the high ph test is all you need

If its high it will register the highest color. No need to use the low one unless it bottoms out for some odd reason

When you thaw it out put some garlic in with it that might stimulate his appetite. Also ask for pest snails, no need to buy. Pond snails and ramshorn snails are the best. Avoid Malaysian trumpeter snails. Their pointy shells make them hard and could choke your puffer. I also feed mine ghost...

Nope! I have air stones in all my tanks. It does add a tiny bit to aeration of the water, but not much. Its more for aesthetic purposes. Some fish do like to play in the bubbles too!
