Yes, you would need to upgrade, That's less than 1 watt per gallon... I don't even know if that's enough for Shrooms. As far as LR you need about 1-2 pounds per gallon. But you could add some quality dry base rock and mix with your 15 pounds of LR... it will be good to go in no time.

with the gel do you pull it out of the water, apply and then place where you want it? Thanks! Can you use this with the GSP if there is no rock base, just the purple fleshy mat?

15 deep 24 wide 19 tall ... I bought it for my son to start his 'bigger' sw tank... the guy said he couldn't remeber what size it was. Also, my son wants the black sand, but I have read it's too hard on sand sifters and stars... is this true? Is it ok with everything else, corals, fish...

Big water change today to try and combat the hair algae from the new lighting... these started poking out of live rock everywhere.... they aren't fire worms are they? and are they safe? Something has been bothering my xenia and buttons... could it be these? Thanks! Kimberly

Thanks Lando, I will move it. The front (where the brown was) seemed to get a heavy flow.

Not sure what's going on, but I have a baseball size mound of Xenia, the pink pulsing variety. I have 2 small brown xenia frags on here as well. This morning I noticed the brown was small and although still pumping/pulsing, it appears to have lost many of it's 'arms'. I also see new buds, but...

That tank is great!!! ...and I agree, that stool would stay warm, the house would be buried in laundry and dust ;)
