    clown loaches being aggressive

Well him and the cae use to sleep together but it's been several months since then and don't expect that to happen. My cae has always been fine but is in that tank as I'm scarred to move him into the large tank as there's juvenile discus and hear lots of bad stories . So as he got along with...

I did post a picture but doesn't look as if it's worked try again though. If it works he's the smallest out the 2

    clown loaches being aggressive

About 3 inches max, he's not big and would only be for a few days to see if it helps at all. I've had him since march and he was only a baby then so not that old or big yet.

    clown loaches being aggressive

Difficult one this is. My small 75 litre tank has 3 yoyo loaches and a cae - I know not suitable but that's another issue in another thred. So maybe I should house him in there for a few days since that was his old home. See how he is then... Think I'm just going to have to try a few things...

    clown loaches being aggressive

Not if this would even make a difference. But would it help to get a few more clowns as I've only 4. Maybe having more would occupy them more with each other. A few places I've read says at least 6 is best.

    clown loaches being aggressive

My betta is fine though :( best fish I have. Planning to move him into one of the other tanks though as don't want him to stress. Thought he would flare up though as people often think there the ones to watch in community tanks but he just tries his best to get out the way then hides in a...

    clown loaches being aggressive

Thanks a lot for your advice. I've only had fish since march of this year and upgraded 3 times just to suit this one clown loache. Really is hard to watch his behaviour now and he is so interesting to watch when he's not picking on others. :(

    clown loaches being aggressive

Yeah I get a lot of errors from the app. Would be so upsetting to get rid of him. He was the first one we got. Better make a decision and soon I guess before other fish suffer :(

    clown loaches being aggressive

Yip. Noticed that all my fish seem to act differently compared to what I read. Really don't know what to do. I started A post about interesting fish as my partner is thinking about changing the set ups and I was trying to convince him to keep what we have but now I'm not so sure... Also I...

    clown loaches being aggressive

Oh that's not good. Only reason I have such a large tank was because I bought one and wasn't told by the shop how big they got. So upgraded my tank to suit. The large one is the one that eats the fish once dead but it's the other one that kills and then leaves it for the other one. That one is...

    clown loaches being aggressive

I have just been doing more reading g and aggressive behaviour is usually a cause of mating but I still don't think that's the problem. I think there a bit young tbh. Surely though killing other fish and swimming about like a dog with a bone isn't normal!!

I attached a picture but it's not too clear and it's turned round. So sorry.

    clown loaches being aggressive

There in a tank about 450 litres approx. Give or take a few litres. There's 4 clown loaches altogether and only 2 are doing it. Didn't think they would be mating but then again I don't know how they react when they do. So far they have killed and eaten 2 ottos, 3 platties and a neon that i've...

    clown loaches being aggressive

Hi again everyone. Looking for any info or suggestions on my clown loaches. They have been great in my community tank and there has been no new additions for over 6 months. But recently in the past 2-3 weeks my clown loaches behaviour has changed... One of them keeps attacking and chasing...

    interesting fish suggestions!!

That's what the guy in the pet shop said. He says that community tanks are boring so doesn't surprise him we want change and said Malawi or Oscar set up. But really he always suggests marine and reckons we will change eventually lol. There is so many species of Malawi though which is difficult...

    interesting fish suggestions!!

The rams are really pretty. Quick read there and it mentions them being partners that's so lovely. Like the tetras also. Will definitely read more about them. Thank you for sharing

    interesting fish suggestions!!

Also sorry. My small tank isn't planted and not planning on that. Think it's too small. The medium tank has approx 5 plants but will be getting changed and the large tank has about 12 plants plus bogwood with plants. Don't really want to go for a planted tank as I'm really unsure about the co2...

    interesting fish suggestions!!

Reason is I don't know which type of fish to consider. Really open to anything and of course lots of research will be put in before hand. I think I would like something in between not totally convinced on aggressive. All I know for sure is we want is interesting ones with good characters. I...

    Snails

I am fairly new to setting up tanks etc, so not much advice I can give. However I have the same problem and thought removing them by hand would resolve the problem, this didn't help at all. Before i knew it my tank was covered. Still have a problem. I have a clown loach in my tank so i have...

    Low pH...

Hi, thanks for all your replies. I had read that the PH really should only be a problem with breeding which i won't be doing, however as I am planning to move fish between the tanks I wanted similar levels with all my tanks, my small quarantine tank is very similar to my 68l so was really...

    Low pH...

HI, was wondering if anyone can tell me how bad it is having low PH in your tank. Have 68l tank been set up for months now and PH is usually around 7.2. I have recently got a 420l tank and have been cycling it, now heading into the 5th week and the PH in this tank is now pale yellow so approx...

    Help needed for my platy

HI, thanks for your reply. When she swim's she seems fine, just when she stops she goes upright so could say she's off balance. When it is feeding time she comes straight to the top so I don't think its food thats the problem but then it doesn't explain why she is so slim. I could believe its...

    Help needed for my platy

My platy is really unwell and I don't know what I should be doing. First of all she looked a really young fish when i got her but appeared pregnant and soon enough she gave birth, she wasn't in a breeding tank or anything just in the same community tank and I have 1 baby. However since then she...
