it might be the ballast but usually with a ballast problem the lights stay dim because the ballast has troublem starting up... usually when you have dead lights its a connection problem... check all connections to the flourscents then check the bulbs even though knew not all flourescents are...

I would have fun with it ... there are many ways to mount it maximisizing the light output to your tank. you should be okay provided the installation. Make it custon as previously mentioned.
its best to do some research. As previously suggested buy a book about setting up and maintaining a salt water aquarium. This way you know what your getting yourself into.. :D
triggers do tend to get big so usually a bigger tank can make the fish more comfortable and stable but i would think that ythe risk is up to you. the rest of your tank might turn into food as well
:wink: i am currently starting a new 80 gallon reef tank. i bought a remora pro protein skimmer with skimmer and media box. if i have sufficent flow (currently with a 1500 gph pump) would you think thie be sufficient enough for proper filtration??? my media includes bio balls- and acivated carbon
