    Ricordea

They are a great beginner coral, a little more interesting than most regular shrooms. Any "softie" coral will work in a tank set up for these with a few exceptions so i would say get lighting for these, maybe on the bright side. Then the path will be open for leathers, shrooms, zoas/palys and...

    brown algae

I have a thin layer of what looks like brown algae growing in my tank, its on the rocks and will accumulate on any rough surface that has a reasonable amount of flow on it. I thought it was cyano but its really not red and there is plenty of flow in the tank so I think that might be in incorrect...

4x39watt t5HO fixture for cheap price

That seems like it will work, but it's not really a "deal" IMO and you dont know what you are getting. Check out odyssea lights, they are cheap and are relatively well known.

20g reef and I need guidance

The LEDs you got with the tank are most likely not high powered enough to grow corals. Unless they are explicitly labeled "reef-ready" or you can get a model number and figure out some specs on them, i wouldn't chance it. Reef capable LEDs are a bit pricey, but pay themselves off over time with...

    CUC quantity

I think youll find that the animals in on-line CUCs are quite small compared to what you think of as a normal size. So keep that in mind when ordering.

    Cycle Complete :)

How big is the tank and are you going to be adding coral or not? Without this info its hard for me to suggest individual fish. Clowns are cool for sure( especially some of the crazier color forms), but there are some REALLY cool fish out there that you may not see at first. Dragonettes are...

55 Patience is a Virtue Seawater Build

pool sand has a lot of silicates( rincing cant get rid of everything, so youll be back to the large diatom bloom if you go that route. I just got a mix of really fine, crushed aragonite, and a bag of live sand mixed up, gives the sand a nice natural look IMO.

    Red Slime Algae

Red slime is also called cyanobacteria and it is caused my excess nutrients in your water. Do a few PWC and increase flow in the affected areas if possible( dont blast a softie with direct flow). You can also siphon it out with airline tubing, but it will just come back until you fix the...
