    Fluval 105 leaky aquastop valve

Hi guys, it's been a while since I posted, Through a power outage at home I noticed my aquastop valve leaks when water pressure back-flows from the outlet of the filter... Anyways it leaks from the side and I couldn't find a way to disassemble and clean the o rings or whatever So has any of...

    Sick panda cory

I am also using ammonia alert (by seachem) to monitor ammonia, I have read so many different reviews on it but it is supposed to be able to detect ammonia even if you are using prime

I'm sorry to say that the little guy died today [emoji53] I noticed all my rasboras hiding in the plants on the opposite side, is this related? Should I keep adding the fungus meds one more day to be safe or should I suspend all treatment, given that the diseased fish is gone [emoji22]?

    Sick panda cory

Update, the left side seems clear now, the right side still needs work apparently He has been less active and my espei rasboras have been behaving weird so I just did another 30% pwc and I think they are ok now in general all of my pandas are just chilling for now but I'm not worried about it...

210 Gallon Oceanic with a problem

I am not liable for the advice I am giving here but seems to me that it is a problem to change the whole glass surface for you The idea of adding a piece of glass on the inside has worked for me (granted on a smaller size tank) but it just makes sense, you just have to make sure that you have...

    Sick panda cory

He seems to be doing better The treatment reads 3 days but I am going to carry on a second treatment with a 30% pwc per the bottle instructions, because he still has a bit of white on the right side, but he really gave me a tough time taking the picture he is an active fella [emoji4]

    Sick panda cory

Ok guys, here's the update I hope resolution is OK, the fluff seems to be getting smaller and even though he is not swimming too much and his tail is a bit "contracted" his breathing seems normal, not to slow and not stress fast, so I think we are on the right track

    Sick panda cory

Ok, here is a better pic, I think it will be less compressed So the holes may be from fungus too?

    Plants have brown film

Yeah it stopped spreading by now although it didn't go away, I bought some nerite snails and they ate most of it by now

    Sick panda cory

Tankmates are 10 espei rasboras and another 3 pandas they all seem healthy but I've noticed the rasboras glass surfing and darting a lot since I introduced a new led light system 2 days ago (I just think it's stress)

    Plants have brown film

I had a similar problem on crypts, my nitrites were way way high so I assumed it was diatoms, once it's advanced I couldn't remove all of it by rubbing, I even used a soft tooth brush on them It was most likely my tank still establishing itself, my nitrates went back down on their own (I...

Help please! Aquarium cloudy/Goldfosh Red Patches

I'd say keep monitoring nitrites and do regular water changes It's weird to have this happen after 1year, if you see your nitrites going down steadily it might just have been your bacteria having to catch up with a nitro spike I have always added prime with each water change and my last...

    Hey just getting into hobby

I have a planted 10g tank with 5 corys. My first advice first of all I to rinse the sand as much as you can, and I mean really rinse it till you get tired of it If you are planning on starting a planted tank you have two options, have plant substrate at the bottom and top off with sand or...

    Cory with tailfin problem

Yeah, yesterday at night he was still breathing, I left a small filter and air bubbles on and today as I got back from work he was not breathing anymore and covered in a very thin white slime all over, I still feel sad that I couldn't determine what it was or how to treat it

210 Gallon Oceanic with a problem

I would get a square piece of glass that covers the crack and then some, clean up all the sand around the crack then use some silicone to glue the glass plate on the inside, making sure you applied enough silicone to the crack first. This serves 2 purposes, sealing the crack and the plate...

    Cory with tailfin problem

Ok, I'll try to make a better hospital tank for him, I have a lava rock but I thought the surface could be too abrasive for him. Today I pretty much brushed off some white slimey stuff off of him with my finger, I didn't even need to touch him just slush the water around him, he hasn't...
