    The ph has been pretty steady since I added the plants and fired up the co2. What gets me is, neon tetras are usually the first ones to show any negative effects in tank water quality In my experience , but they have been doing great. Not one loss.

    29 gallon, would say moderately planted. Using a in tank diffuser, 2 hours or so after the lights come on most of the plants are already bubbling .

    Thanks, the small plants in front of the driftwood are Cryptocoryne, Parva. The tall ones in the back of the tank is Corkscrew Vallisneria . The ones behind the driftwood and in front of the Corkscrew are Cryptocoryne, Undulatus on the outside with a Cryptocoryne, Wendtii, Bronze in the middle...

    Thanks for the info on the ammonia. Far as The tap ph, here in central Indiana we have hard water with high ph. At home , my old tanks running for over a year and the non planted tank using well water was always around 8.2 ph. And I checked them weekly.
