I believe invertebrates are sensitive to high nitrates too, it could kill the rest off

I would def try and find the dead fish if you think they are dead. Nitrates are extremely high also. I would do a really large water change to get them down, try a 50% and retest the water. Then go from there

What are you're water perameters now? Ammonia, salinity etc?

Maybe invest in some power heads for circulatio, do a good water change and see what your levels are after testing. I'm only 4 months into my first salt tank but ill help where I can. I usually prowl this site an hour or two a day lol, and for a few months before I started my tank.

I agree here, if you no longer have live stock. Try cycling with out fish. I let my tank cycle for 2 months before adding anything. Tanks been stocked for about a month and a half with no big issues besides a little brown algae, which it went away recently

Yellow watchman goby is a very cool fish, also non agressive.

I definitely wouldn't sell everything, it can be frustrating and expensive sure but worth it in the end. I would add more live rock in a tank that size to help with filtration. I have 32lbs in mg 20 gallon nano reef tank. Also lots of research, never hurts

I thought I might have too much circulation for my clown but he stays away from the pump most of the time. He hangs out where there is less current and seems to be fine. My pump is rated 500gph in a 20g long tank

It's a 20g long with about 30lbs of live rock. Also have a ocellaris clown but he was put in before the wrasse

Is it possible to add a royal gramma after a 6 line wrasse after a week of having the wrasse? I know the wrasse should be last but it was on sale and the gramma cost more. The wrasse is a juvenile still

I appreciate the info, I may leave the filter on for now until I get more live rock and a small powerhead for the the other corner. I also am not using a sump for this. It's just the filter cartridge was really brown inside the filter. I'll just check it every week to make sure it's not getting...

Tank finished cycling 2 weeks ago

It's a 20g long tank. I have a hob filter read its mainly for mechanical purposes. I have live rock and sand. Getting more rock this weekend, I have 24lbs right now. I have a dead spot with no flow and getting brown algae in that corner, plus the filter in the hob is brown

I just started to get this in my 20g nano. Cycle has finished and I have not added fish yet. I buy saltwater and ro water from my local saltwater store. No sump here either
