    Discus with angelfish

I know Angels are Cichlids too.. I'm just trying to make a point that if you kept 2 discus they would fight and one would end up dying because it couldn't compete for food. from personal experience discus are even more social then Angels and I wouldn't keep discus unless it was a species only...

    Dark discus

this is abit late to add but water hardness doesn't matter at all with discus unless you're breeding only temp and water quality/quality food matters for growing discus out Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

    Discus with angelfish

first off, the reason people say they can't mix is angels carry some diseases that can kill discus. second Angels like temps around 80F while discus like it around 84-86F also, discus are cichlids and you need to keep them in a minimum of 4. i wouldnt keep discus in a 55 unless it was only...

    Discus bully?

Yeah def get it least one more in a rush. Having 2 the Alfa will pick on him until he can't get good and he may die, so make sure he's eating! But with the third one it makes the alpha have 2 to pick on so it's spread out instead of always being the same one! That's why more is better!

    Discus bully?

Although discus are peaceful everyone forgets they are still cichlids! They can be aggressive depending on how many you have. How many do you have? Also it is normal they do have a "pecking" order in which there is one alpha, and they're will be one at the bottom of the chain, that is why more...

Are Angelfish or Discus better in a community tank?

I'd recommend angels. Your starting off, and discus are ALOT. Of work, not to mention alot of feedings with high quality food which involves alot of water changes ect. Angels are really pretty and very easy to keep! I think you'd have no problem with them and they keep with lots of fish (they...

    RO water for discus tank

Hey, so I've been using RO DI water for my discus tank. It seems like the ph is swinging abit. For instance like 7.2 to like 6.8 every once and awhile. Would half tap water half RO water stop the ph swings? I want to change it easily without the fish being hurt! Let me know! Thank you
