    Freshwater Puffer Questions

After lots of researching I've kinda basically came up with ; Tetraodon fluviatilis or green spotted puffer. But like I said before, I am upgrading to a much larger tank in the near future. This guy is only about maybe half an inch long. My LFS has about 10 maybe a bit less in what looks like...

What Made You Want A Freshwater Aquarium?

Molly fish! I loved looking at those guys in the pet shop. How playful and how each one has its own personality. They will always be my favorite and my reason I wanted a fish tank.

    Freshwater Puffer Questions

Do they do better with other puffers or are they okay by themselves? I have one in a 20 gallon with one knight goby. Should I get a few more or no?

    What is this!?

    Mystery Snails Always Dying??

Try feeding them algae waffers. Are the snails your picking at the LFS active and out of their shell? How many have you went through? Have you tested your water?

    Increase Alkalinity??

I'd leave him be for a while and just keep an eye on him. And probably wouldn't add anymore fish to your tank. Unless you move your little guy to your larger tank then you could get a school of molly and see how social they can be. But its all up to you.

Black Molly is hiding from me!!

Your fish should be absolutely fine in that tank. Unless there isn't enough aeration and filtration. Have you tested for ammonia?

    Increase Alkalinity??

Oh ahahaha! I'm talking to you on your other post. If everyone is acting fine I wouldn't worry about it. Though most Molly's, platys, etc. Like a bit of salt in there environment. But be careful with salt and tetras. BTW. What kind of filtration do you have? Do you have aeration?

Black Molly is hiding from me!!

Well maybe, Molly's tend to be very social. Have you looked at him? Dose he look skinny? Cloudy eyes? Ick?! If he looks good, give him time to acclimate. He may just need time to get comfy.

    Building a cave with slate

I would check at your lsf and ask for a product called holdfast. Or a rock glue. I WOULD NOT take a chance in going into a hardware store and asking for pure silicone or something. You can kill all your fish and know even know what happens. I've learned this from experience.

    Increase Alkalinity??

Are your fish acting strange, odd behavior?

    What is this!?

Okay can anyone tell me what this is? For some reason these strange things invited my Axolotl tank and are every where. They don't seem to move, they just stay there. I've had snails in this tank before, but I'm not sure they are snails. Though they kind of resemble snail. I've picked don't out...

Can i put these sticks in my tank?? Are they safe

Basically just use caution with the sticks from outside, you never know what's on them. Clean them really good and let them soak. As long as the sticks didn't come from a pine tree, and do not have sap in them they will be alright.

Can i put these sticks in my tank?? Are they safe

As long as those sticks didn't come from a pine tree they should be just fine. I would recommend soaking them in a tub for a few days maybe weeks just so that way they won't float. That's how I get all my drift wood. Just pick up a few sticks, and stick them in a 5gal.bucket. The bark will...

what dose it mean when the plants leafs turn transparent then start to decay?

Ya know, I've never even thought about phosphate. I will get a test kit immediately. Same with the hardness of water. I suppose I will start upping the dosage of the fert. It just makes me nervous. I do not want to over do it. Can water hardness really effect a plant? Wouldn't you see a...

what dose it mean when the plants leafs turn transparent then start to decay?

I grow them at my work place. Young waterlily grow underwater before the leafs are able to get to the top as the plant matures. I've never had a problem with them in a pond but for some reason the just are not doing to hot in the aquarium -_-

what dose it mean when the plants leafs turn transparent then start to decay?

I have a few tropical waterlily in my 29 gallon with my angelfish. The leafs have grow big but are kinda see through and I have only a few that have reached the top. The top leafs are usually just bad looking, deformed or get spots on them that turn a transparent brownish color then start to...
