Im devastated for you! Think i'll stick to the tried and tested makes. I like Tetra Aqua Safe, but also like Nitrafin Aquaplus. Interpet makes a very decent conditioner that you add slightly less as compared woth Tetras. I believe Waterlife does one called Haloex(?). I used it years ago...

What are your water parameters? Could it be that your tamk water is of a different ph to the stores? If it was too big a difference maybe he's in shock. Did uou adf any of your tamk water to the bag ? To acclimatise? Also did you check your ammonia, nitrate and nitrite levels before buying...

I get this sometimes too. Not much of it and doesnt bother the fish. Would get sucked up quickly anyway. You could put a small fine mesh fish net under the out flow to catch it.

Certainly sounds like you have it all taken care of. I think most tanks get an algal bloom at some point though. My angels have been displaying courting behaviour too. So who knows I may have 'angelets' soon :)

I may be wrong and I camt find the bottle to look, but i think API does an ich cure that you can use with scaleless fish. Maybe at half dose though, any one else have any suggetions? :/

Filling the tank with warm water and disolving a good amount of aquarium salt, then soaking the filter and parts in it should steralize sufficiently. Then giving the tank a good wipe round inside with the solution. Just a thought.
