    floating snails

Can anyone tell me why snails float? They should loose the air pocket and return to the bottom, they have not and all but one is dead. They are not critical habitat but I hate to see anything die in my tanks. Thanks.

    Sebae Anemone or not?

It has been a week now and it seems to be getting a yellowish brown color to it. I'm currently feeding the tank with Kent ChromaPlex, Phytoplankton and dosing the tank with Calcium. Hopefully that will sustain it's recovery. Regards, Jason

Do you have a LS bed? If so how deep is it? Also if your running a protein skimmer or anything with bio media, you need to clean them on a regular basis.

    Live rock

Ok....So I wonder what I should use to clean it!!! RO/DI water, tank water or tap water. It's dead anyway right? Although it may be a good process? I don't think I want to start a war with my wife by placing a bunch of dead, fishy rocks in her oven.....LOL Regards, Jason

    Live rock

I just bought 50 lbs of LR from a person who let there reef tank die off. The rock has been out of water for 2 months. How do I clean the rock so that I can be used as base rock for my established tank? And... can I use the larg pieces of dead coral for live rock as well? Regards, Jason

    Coral Feeding

So I have had a problem with my finger leather for about a month now and I'm starting to think there is something else I can do. It all started with a pod of some sort eating the flesh of my coral. Finally I handled it, found and got rid of it. I thought it was on it's way to recovery and then...

    Bristle Worms

Also, Most of the traps that I have used, have a chamber in the middle that is capped off. This way the plankton doesn't float to the end where the worms can eat and go! Jason

    Bristle Worms

If you have a BRISTLE WORM that is a foot long in you tank, Please!!! pull an all nighter and get pictures of that bad boy  IMO you should go down to the harbor and barrow a crab pot  Perhaps the hole that you drilled in the trap was too big? They can squeez through a prety small...
