    Major problems need help!

Keep an eye out for die off and remove it. I would definitely do another change with proper salinity water and wait and see what happens. Some may make it.... Some wont The previous advice was right on.

    Lighting

You can check out the Current USA pro or tru lumen led strips. I have 4 on my BC 29 and they work well. I don't run them full throttle and they are still too bright for my shrooms. I have 1 actinic 2 marine fusion and 1 diamond white.

    LED advice on biocube 14

All i had to do is remove the lamps .... Install the pro led strips (4 x 12") with double sided tape on the bracket feet. Run the wiring through the stock openings (this could use some mods but it will work without!!!!! ) keep the ballast running that operates the fans ( keep them running full...

    LED advice on biocube 14

You might be fine but it all depends on your stock .... If you go to current's website they have a chart for how many you need vs. the stock your planning.

    LED advice on biocube 14

I have a bc29 and have 4 total... 2 marine fusion, 1 diamond white, 1 actinic blue. I have taken the bulbs out, left one ballast to run fans, 2 power supplies, and two dimmers. I run blue at full power and other 3 at about 3/4 power. I left stock moon lights on full time. Double sided tape for...

    Water change

Tank looks good.... I also tried to stay with stock lighting but I do want to try and convince you to look into a lighting upgrade. Look; it's worth it to look into led lights. Shop and compare! I tried to stay with stock fluorescent but ultimately changed to current USA pro lumen led . I...

I went the current usa pro lumen led strip route .... I like them but little expensive and not sure if they'll fit your hood. No huge hood mods for me ...

    New to coral

I think it's a nice piece .... Shrooms don't need a lot of light so keep that in mind when you place them. Low flow is fine for most species in my experience. It looks like you have a few other corals on that rock. Was that rock part of the colony you purchased?

    Steve's vs. Rapid LEDs

Dirk, Have you looked at current USA true lumen nano kits or ecoxotic stunner strips? No controllers but you can get dimmers and use good old fashioned timers Both have 12"strips that will retro into the hood w/out mods.

    Steve's vs. Rapid LEDs

Just chiming in again here..... They do have black out kits for the AI Sol fixtures if u don't like the aluminum look heatsink. I have the same reservations about the "poking out heatsink" but what keeps me interested is the controller. Steve's will have knob dimmers.... Rapid does have a...

    Steve's vs. Rapid LEDs

Dirk, there is a thread from Starcher in July that shows a Steve's led install from start to finish. I'm not sure how else to find it other than the user name of the person that started it. As I said Starcher was the user and it was in July.

    Anemone in biocube?

I don't think a bta will thrive with stock lighting. I have a bc29 with stock lighting and bought a green bta. It did fine for a day or 2 but is struggling now. I plan an led upgrade soon and hope he survives til then. IMO don't do it until you have better lighting. Look at the top right of...
