You can check out the Current USA pro or tru lumen led strips. I have 4 on my BC 29 and they work well. I don't run them full throttle and they are still too bright for my shrooms. I have 1 actinic 2 marine fusion and 1 diamond white.

You might be fine but it all depends on your stock .... If you go to current's website they have a chart for how many you need vs. the stock your planning.

I think it's a nice piece .... Shrooms don't need a lot of light so keep that in mind when you place them. Low flow is fine for most species in my experience. It looks like you have a few other corals on that rock. Was that rock part of the colony you purchased?

Dirk, Have you looked at current USA true lumen nano kits or ecoxotic stunner strips? No controllers but you can get dimmers and use good old fashioned timers Both have 12"strips that will retro into the hood w/out mods.

Dirk, there is a thread from Starcher in July that shows a Steve's led install from start to finish. I'm not sure how else to find it other than the user name of the person that started it. As I said Starcher was the user and it was in July.

I don't think a bta will thrive with stock lighting. I have a bc29 with stock lighting and bought a green bta. It did fine for a day or 2 but is struggling now. I plan an led upgrade soon and hope he survives til then. IMO don't do it until you have better lighting. Look at the top right of...
