Just to update - Day 25 (today) saw a overnight drop in nitrites from off the charts to .5ppm and a huge pH crash accompanied (bottomed out the chart at 6 possibly lower). Did a 50%+ PWC and redosed ammonia to 2ppm. Will monitor it for another few days, hopefully get some fish by next weekend if...

Hey thanks for the welcome and advice. My tap water is definitely lower then 80ppm nitrates and shows no nitrites and very little ammonia (but I have never gotten a 0 reading with this test kit on any water source...) I will do a sizable PWC along with my 10g's regularly scheduled tomorrow...
